Shivraj Chouhan: Third COVID-19 wave has arrived
The third wave has arrived, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan warned Madhya Pradesh residents on New Year’s Day, when the state’s daily Covid count surpassed 100 for the first time in over six months, and Indore’s Saturday night bulletin revealed 80 new cases.
He told reporters that fighting the pandemic requires the active participation and assistance of the public, without which the fight will fail.
“The third coronavirus wave has arrived, and it must be combated with the help of the public. All necessary preparations have been completed, but considerable caution is required. 60,000 beds have been set aside in government and private hospitals around the state.” Chouhan stated.
In the previous 24 hours, Madhya Pradesh has seen 124 COVID-19 cases. Indore, the state’s largest city, reported 62 occurrences on a single day, followed by Bhopal with 27 cases.
